Neutrophil gelatinase associated lipid carrier protein (NGAL) assay kit (fluorescence quantitative immunochromatography)

Neutrophil gelatinase associated lipid carrier protein (NGAL) assay kit (fluorescence quantitative immunochromatography)

【Intended use】

This kit is used to quantitatively detect the content of neutrophil gelatinase apolipoprotein in human urine samples in vitro.

NGAL is one of the most effective biological markers for the diagnosis of acute renal injury. After being stimulated by injury, renal tubular epithelial cells will secrete a large amount of NGAL, which can induce the apoptosis of neutrophils infiltrated in renal tubular interstitium to protect renal tissue from inflammatory cells. At the same time, NGAL can induce the transformation of renal mesenchymal cells into renal tubular epithelial cells, so as to induce the regeneration of renal tubular epithelial cells. NGAL exists not only in peroxidase negative granules of sex granulocytes, but also in various normal tissues such as bronchus, kidney, thymus, gastrointestinal tract and prostate. Under normal conditions, NGAL is expressed at a low level, but also in inflammation such as infectious and systemic vasculitis. NGAL is an antimicrobial peptide involved in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The level of NGAL in patients with stable COPD increased significantly.
